Took some snaps off the tv and then played with some textures. I can't help but notice how proud she is of her husband and our new President. As one of my contact say "she'll give him major strength." I agree!

Don't Give Away Your Power

Today as I was going thru my emails and came upon Joel Osteen his message today hit home and I've not had a bad day in a short while but the last 2 days have been not so great..So when I read this today and listen to his message http://www.joelosteen.com/_layouts/Champion.aspx?date=2009-1-15
I thanked God today for this encouragement I got and will rise above.

"You can tell a lot about a person by what it takes to get them upset. Our emotions are either controlled by our circumstances or our character. When someone is rude, our emotions say, "Pay them back. Get even", which doesn't take much discipline! But when our strength is under control and we've taken the time to develop our character, we realize, "I'm bigger than this. I'm not going to let them pull me down. I've got places to go, goals to accomplish and dreams to bring to fruition."
3John 2 says that God wishes above all thinks that we prosper and be in health. God desires to prosper our entire soul- our mind, will and emotions. If we can learn to control our emotions and how we react to those who treat us unfairly, God sees and will reward us for our Christ-like character.
We can't always control how others treat us, but we can control how we react to others. We're not supposed to drag through the day frustrated, upset and offended. We're supposed to be full of joy, peace and victory.
By learning this principle of not giving away your peace and developing your character, you're not only going to enjoy your life more, but God will bless you, increase and promote you!

Regrets

As this year ends, I have some regrets. How do I deal with them?

I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Philippians 3:13-14

As we approach the end of the year, it's natural to look back and reflect on different events. Some memories bring smiles, but others bring regrets. Now is a good time to clean house, that is, to confess to God what needs to be confessed, apologize and make amends to those you have wronged, and then leave the pain behind. Forget the failures of the past and move forward into the new year with expectation and excitement.

Reflections

Christmas is over, and all the secrets are out. The gifts have been opened, the feast devoured, the songs sun, the joy celebrated, Today is a good day to take some time to reflect, as Mary did over 2000 years ago, on the events of the big day, on the gifts that were given, and on the love bestowed. Store the good times and memories in you heart to be thought about and smiled over in the weeks and months ahead. Reflect on the goodness of God, who gave the best gift of all-his son.

Praise the Lord, I tell myself, and never forget the good things he does for me.

For Today...

As a new year has come, there is new beginnings and new goals that we jot down on paper and try to follow our goals as well as we can there are a few I'd like to share with you..
1. Never take anything for granted
2. Call home daily
3. Start a Flickr project, the 365 photo chanllenge
this is taking a picture each day and try to raise
the bar, go to the next level..
4. Love as hard as I can
5. Live in graditue
6. Smile at 5 people a day
7. Life is good no matter what!
9. Thank God for each day and ask him for help for the day.
